Answer
All requests for improvements to the road network are assessed in line with my Department’s current policies and guidance and all works are subject to prioritisation within the funding available.
Hazard warning road markings are currently provided as centre lines on the Moss Road at locations where it is necessary to highlight to road users the presence of a road junction, central refuge or other hazard. It is not proposed to introduce any further measures to prevent overtaking on the Moss Road at this time.
Concerns regarding driver behaviour such as speeding should be directed to the PSNI using the non-emergency 101.
One of the best ways to ensure the safety of our roads and fulfil our long term goal of eliminating death and serious injury on roads by 2050 is by changing driver behaviour. If all of us who are drivers do not change our attitudes towards speeding and careless driving, our death toll, which has increased in the past year, will continue to increase.
