Answer

The uplift to admissions at Bangor Academy and Sixth Form College brings the school’s approved numbers into line with the level at which the school has already been operating.

I am aware that the school requires additional accommodation to meet the needs of its increased enrolment and it had been anticipated that a scheme to deliver this additional accommodation would be completed for September 2024 however, due to complications arising from the Public Private Partnership contract this is no longer possible.

The Education Authority is proactively pursuing alternative proposals to deliver the accommodation, but it is anticipated that there could be a delay of up to 12 months.
