Answer
I am pleased to report that excellent progress is being made against all of the actions within the report "A Fair Start". Forty eight actions for change are being taken forward this year. Forty from the original report plus eight additional actions.
The report identified forty seven actions in total. These were split between Short term (ST) actions (Years 1 and 2), Medium Term (Years 3 and 4) and Long Term (Year 5 and beyond). Given that the plan was published during the 2021/22 financial year, 2022/23 is considered to be Year 1 of the Action Plan.
The latest progress report can be found at https://www.education-ni.gov.uk/publications/progress-reports-fair-start-report-and-action-plans. The next progress report will be published in December 2022.
