Answer
This issue is an operational matter for Translink. I have sought the requested information and have been advised as follows:
Translink have been progressing the development of mobile ticketing across its network as part of its wider programme to enhance customer accessibility and convenience. Day tickets for Foyle Metro services are already available to customers through the mLink mobile ticketing app. In addition, Translink is currently developing functionality within the mLink app to extend the availability of day tickets (Adult and Child) across all other Ulsterbus town/city services. This will provide customers in towns and cities outside Belfast with the same flexible and convenient purchasing options already available elsewhere. It is anticipated that this enhanced functionality will be available to customers in late summer 2026.
