Answer
Following a recent period of severe weather and tidal surges along the North Down coastline, a short section of wall under my Department’s ownership partially collapsed on Thursday 5th February. Officials closed an adjacent section of footway and nearby car parking in the interest of public safety until repairs could be assessed and undertaken. I am pleased to confirm that the repair work which commenced on 10 February has now been completed.
