Answer
We are pleased that the new Victims and Survivors Strategy has been endorsed by the Executive.
Our officials have been working to develop action plans for the implementation of the commitments in the Strategy and they have engaged with the Victims and Survivors Service and the Commission for Victims and Survivors on the co-design of new funding programmes to align with the new Strategy.
It is vital that the action plans and funding programmes are co-designed with stakeholders including VSS, CVS, and community and voluntary groups, to ensure that plans will meet the needs as laid out in the Strategy.
When the Strategy was published we wrote to the Chair of the TEO Committee, as we were aware that the Committee has not yet had the opportunity to hear from officials about the new Strategy. Officials would welcome an opportunity to brief the Committee and seek Members’ views on the development of action plans.
