Answer
Action Mental Health informed the South Eastern HSC Trust (SEHSCT) in November 2023 that it would not be renewing its contract to deliver the Promote Day Opportunity Service in Bangor after 31st March 2024.
Aware of the impact this decision by Action Mental Health would have on the service users and their families, SEHSCT immediately began to find an alternative provider. A new provider has been secured and the Trust are hopeful that transition arrangements will progress imminently. A plan is in place to ensure that this transition will be as seamless as possible.
SEHSCT continues to meet with Action Mental Health as they are responsible for engaging with their current staff to keep them updated on the position.
A further meeting between SEHSCT and AMH Promote families has been arranged for week commencing 23 February 2024 to provide an update on the current position.
