Answer

I can advise that Brunswick Road in Bangor is 870m long and has street lighting along its entire length and footways on both sides. It is subject to a 30mph speed limit and the double yellow lines marking the corner restrictions for the four side roads and at either end are intended to enhance road safety and facilitate traffic progression. A central white line highlights generous lane widths for an urban road and red patches on the road with zig zag markings and associated traffic signs highlight the presence of the school and nursery. Given the measures already in place on Brunswick Road and the fact it has a good road safety record, I can advise my Department has no plans to implement any additional measures at this time.

Issues relating to inconsiderate parking and/or speeding should be directed to the PSNI which has responsibility for enforcement relating to both matters.
