Answer

The Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, which operates the Regional Gender Identity Service at the Brackenburn Clinic, is not commissioned for this procedure as part of gender affirming surgery. However, if transgender people have gynaecological issues they will be assessed for hysterectomy and surgery will be performed if clinically appropriate.
